Joe Sechman is a Director with responsibility for leading Sunera's penetration testing practice. He has over 12 years of information security experience within government, consulting, and software development industries. In addition to delivering vulnerability assessments, PCI Authorized Scanning Vendor (ASV) services, and source code reviews, he led Sunera's ethical hacking program for one of the United States' largest financial institutions that lasted nearly two years with the delivery of over 150 application security assessments. Prior to joining Sunera, he led and managed the professional services group within HP/SPI Dynamics, Inc. as part of the SPI Labs R&D team. He has also held positions as a web application developer and Linux systems administrator with the Georgia Department of Audits and as a senior security consultant with an Atlanta-based managed security services provider. Joe is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) and former Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), among other professional designations.
