Eric Dieterich is a Director with Sunera and leads the data privacy practice. Eric has developed and implemented privacy programs for multi-national organizations, assisting them in their effort to become compliant with local and international data privacy laws. He has extensive financial services and healthcare related experience which includes assisting organizations with regulatory compliance such as GLBA, HIPAA, HITECH Act and SOX. Eric also has performed IT risk assessments, strategic business assessments, and audits for organizations across various industries.
He is actively involved in the privacy community that provides him with a medium for open communication among other privacy professions and regulatory bodies. His involvement includes being the KnowledgeNet chairperson for the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) in the South Florida region. Prior to Sunera, Eric was a senior IT auditor for Morgan Stanley and a member of Ernst & Young’s IT audit practice. Eric is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA).
